PRACTICES
The Parker Group, Inc.
Licensed Psychologist
8629 W. Central Ave, Wichita, KS 67212 August 2000- Present
Independent practice serving a broad base of clientele specializing in adolescents and adults. Referrals are accepted for a variety of issues responsive to psychotherapy or requiring psychological testing. Beginning in 2005, the Sedgwick County Family Law Department accepted my application to be a Limited Case Manager and Case Manager. From 2005 - 2019, approximately 90% of my practice centered around these expert services (child custody recommendations), and approximately 1,000 cases (families) were investigated and evaluated, and recommendations were given to the Court. In addition to Sedgwick County, expert psychological services and testimony have been performed in Sumner, Ford, Saline, Marion, Cowley, and Butler County.
With respect to psychological evaluations specifically, referrals have been accepted for multicultural clients from physicians, psychologists, psychiatrists, Courts, prosecutors as well as defense attorneys. Courts served include juvenile, family, city, and federal, as well as the Kansas Bar. Clientele has included court-ordered individuals from the city, county, and federal court system as well as probation and parole departments. Well over 1,500 psychological evaluations have been conducted since 2005 for Court-related matters. Prior to 2005, approximately 200 psychological evaluations were completed for predominately clinical purposes.
From 2004 to 2011, services were provided to multicultural clientele undergoing substance abuse treatment in an inpatient and outpatient setting. Contracted for ten to twenty hours per week. Services provided were initial assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy, case coordination with substance abuse providers, staffing, psychological testing, and program development.
Preferred Mental Health Management, Inc. (PMHM)
Chief Psychologist
401 East Douglas, Suite 300, Wichita, Kansas 67202 August 2000-August 2008
Chief Psychologist for a nationwide, behavioral health management firm. Directly supervised all PMHM Psychology Department staff which included six psychologists. Reviewed clinical cases and hospital records to determine panel provider quality and effectiveness. Contracting hospitals, facilities, and therapists’ work were also reviewed based on clinical necessity criteria to determine ongoing authorization of insurance reimbursement.
Beginning in 2006, I shifted from full-time onsite Chief Psychologist to part-time providing the above services via “virtual office,” allowing me to devote full-time attention to my private practice.
COMCARE of Sedgwick County
Psychology Intern/Licensed Psychologist
1919 N. Amidon, Wichita, Kansas 67203 August 1997 - August 2000
Duties included servicing an active caseload of 50-60 adult clients with a wide range of issues utilizing brief, cognitive-behavioral models of individual and group therapy. The clientele was primarily court-ordered through local probation and parole departments as well as state child welfare agencies. Emphasis was placed on increasing compliance with state laws and court orders through individual psychotherapy and family therapy interventions. Many clientele also had children in state custody, which created additional treatment goals, compliance with SRS requirements, and reunification of families. During the internship year, I received extensive training on court-ordered psychological evaluations (see internship experience below).
Developed and coordinated the Stress and Anger Management Program from 1998 to 2000, as well as provided community outreach services
John T. Montford Psychiatric Unit

Duties included psychological evaluations of inmates/patients incarcerated in the Texas prison system. Approximately 400 psychological evaluations were completed.
